Gary Mullen & the Works QUEEN tribute band Marbella Spain 2011

Marbella’s Playa del Pinillo was the venue for a spectacular concert featuring Gary Mullen & the Works a famous QUEEN tribute band.

As well as the tribute to Queen we were treated to the return visit of Ruth Lorenzo the Spanish Rock singer who was a past finalist on UK’s X Factor TV show.

Our Presenter Martine Williams covered the event interviewing the performers and lot’s of the audience – a truly fantastic evening!

Bit about Gary: Gary Mullen’s career as Freddie started in 2000, when his wife and his mother secretly applied to the Granada TV show ‘Stars in Their Eyes’. Gary won the overall Live Grand Final, polling 864,838 votes, more than double the runner up and setting the all time record for votes on the show. Gary is featured in the Stars in Their Eyes video, CD and book and has represented the UK on Euro Stars in Their Eyes.

Bit about Ruth: Ruth Lorenzo, is a Spanish singer and composer, best known for coming fifth in the fifth series of the British TV talent show The X Factor in 2008. Artists such as Auryn and Dannii Minogue have included compositions of hers in their albums.
